Barnardos has supported children at the heart of disadvantaged communities across Ireland for over 60 years. We know that the longer a child spends living in deprivation and coping with childhood trauma, the greater an impact it can have on their future. Because childhood lasts a lifetime.

We are very excited to team up with Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio for a host of Giving Day activities highlighting the work that we do and encouraging listeners and supporters to ‘click and donate’ what they can.

Help us be there for vulnerable children.

Barnardos is Ireland’s largest children’s charity which supports the most vulnerable children in society. We provide a range of targeted, practical, and emotional support services in communities, schools, family homes; and 56 Barnardos centres nationwide. Every year Barnardos supports thousands of children and families nationwide. But we cannot do it alone.
Our work supports children and families affected by childhood trauma such as poverty; domestic violence or abuse; children whose parents suffer from mental health issues or addiction; separation and bereavement. We see first-hand how families are struggling to cope with the cost-of-living crisis, with many cutting back or going without heat, electricity and food. Demand for our services has never been greater.
These families need our help. We need yours.
